Mato Anomalies is Available Now

10 March 2023 – Munich, Germany / Shanghai, China – Prime Matter and Arrowiz have teamed up to release the 3D Adventure RPG title “Mato Anomalies”. Mato Anomalies is now available on PlayStation® 4, PlayStation® 5, Xbox One, X Box Series X | S , Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam) – both physical and digital.

Throughout the game’s anime-inspired visual novel storyline, the player will be the role of Detective Doe, together with his companions, to discover many secrets while working to unravel the mysteries that the neo-noir city of Mato has to offer. Detective Doe must find a way to stop the dark forces that are plotting behind the scenes of this neon-filled backdrop.

In the city of Mato, the dark forces have secretly invaded every corner… underground sewage facilities, the local brewery, harbor warehouses and theater backrooms. Time and space distorting rifts now brew many deadly existences.

The investigation is only one part of the story; intense battles and fighting take place in tough dungeons where the player needs to learn to maximize all the advantages of the smart combat mechanics.

As the story progresses, players will gradually understand the truth of the world. They need to survive in the dark and chaotic realm, save the world and themselves on the verge of collapse.

Prime Matter Signs Global Publishing Deal with Arrowiz for Futuristic JRPG “Mato Anomalies” 

14 July 2022 - Munich, Germany / Shanghai, China – Prime Matter and Arrowiz have teamed up to release the dystopian JRPG “Mato Anomalies”. The game was recently announced during this year’s Japan Expo in Paris.

In this stylistic and truly original JRPG, the player slips into the role of detective Doe to uncover the deepest secrets behind the invasion of supernatural creatures in Mato – a sprawling metropolis that combines traditional with futuristic architecture in a post-apocalyptic world.

Investigation is only one part of the story; intense battles and fighting take place in tough dungeons where the player needs to learn to maximize all the advantages of the smart combat mechanics.

The game is slated for release in 2023 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S , Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam), hitting stores – both physical and digital - thanks to the publishing deal between Prime Matter and Arrowiz. Prime Matter will be fully responsible for publishing and distribution activities covering different markets worldwide through its local offices.

Arrowiz Closes Multi-million Series A Investment Led by Tencent to Fuel Its Global Ambition!

8 July 2021 – Shanghai, China – The video game studio Arrowiz revealed today closing its Series A investment round led by Tencent for multi-million USD for a minority stake in the company. The studio founded by Horace Xiong (CEO), Justice Liu (COO) and Michael Chua (CFO), will use the funds to increase its production capabilities and empower the studio creative minds with the best tools and resources.

Last November, Tencent Games (via its publishing label Yooreka) and Arrowiz agreed on a publishing deal for an unannounced game in China, South East Asia and Korea. This project, set to be released in 2022, will be revealed early next year by a major Western publisher.

Arrowiz now has 30 employees and is set to outpace its original goal of 40 by the end of the year and doubling this headcount in 2022. The studio, working both on original and licensed content, now counts 2 games in production, and is expecting to start a 3rd project by the end of 2021.

Beats Fever to Launch in Japan with SUNSOFT Project Indie

9 Aug 2019 – Nagoya, Japan - SUNCORPORATION (JASDAQ: 6736) SUNSOFT Project Indie has localized the VR rhythm action game "BEATS FEVER VR Rhythm Stage" for Japan, and will be releasing the game on 19 August, 2019 for PlayStation®VR.

Originally released overseas on PC in 2017 and PlayStation®VR in 2018, Beats Fever™ is a VR rhythm game developed by Arrowiz. Now, SUNSOFT brings the game to the Japanese market as "BEATS FEVER VR Rhythm Stage" for PlayStation®4 (PlayStation®VR required).

In this Japanese version for PlayStation®4, there are several new features implemented for players in Japan. For example, in order to ensure safety, there are now circles indicating where the player's feet should be (for sitting or standing position). Options such as the position or size of the "transparent panel" (where the controllers should touch the music orbs) can now be adjusted. With these changes as well as more unmentioned here, the game has been optimized to be the best experience for the players.

Hermitage Strange Case Files Launching Today on Steam

13 Nov 2018 – Shanghai, China – Arrowiz is proud to announce that its detective visual novel Hermitage Strange Case Files™ is formally released today in Steam® store.

Developed by Arrowiz and published by the renowned animation, comic and game operator Bilibili (NASDAQ: BILI), Hermitage Strange Case Files™ is a 2D investigation adventure game featuring Cthulhu mythos and exotic urban legends.

The game consists of several seemingly independent cases which later converge to an insane, citywide menace. As a vintage bookstore keeper and seasoned armchair detective, the player will meet distinct characters, sift leads from talks, news, forums and books, make logical deductions, relive creeping events, and unveil frantic truths.

“Ian (design lead) and I are long-time fans of Cthulhu mythos and oriental urban legends,” says Jet Xu, producer of the title. “We believe this is the first video game mixing these two ingredients and we are so excited to present it!”

VR Animated Short "Cairo's Tale: The Big Egg" to Release in May

3 May 2018 – Shanghai, China – Cairo's Tale®: The Big Egg, a narrative virtual reality (VR) animated short, directed by Shi Yuan and produced by Ring Mountain, will have its world premiere in this May through major VR systems including Oculus Rift and HTC Vive (Steam).

In this eight-minute short, the viewer takes adventure with young talented mage Cairo and his best friend Clusterclucked, who both got surprised by a giant egg that fell off and broke the roof of Cairo's flying house. Though being afraid, they decide to figure out what happened.

The team at Ring Mountain studio has 15 artists and engineers with deep backgrounds in game and entertainment industries. While they used to work on titles like Gears of War, Blade & Soul, Gundam and One Piece at renowned companies, VR as a fresh frontier recently drew their interest and joined their creativity.

"I believe VR movies are one of the most critical elements of VR experience," says Shi Yuan, the director and studio CEO. "They perfectly integrate a pioneering technology with traditional image art, and will very likely change the landscape of entertainments in near future."

Cairo's Tale® is a game-cartoon franchise Shi Yuan has been designing and operating for years. After a 2D game trailer released in 2015 and a 10-episode TV cartoon series in 2016, this latest animated short was built from the ground up for VR using Unreal Engine 4.

A 360 video format of this film is also in production with release platform and schedule to be announced later by Arrowiz, online publisher of the title.
